Mods You have done to your RTV

Hi folks:
I just bought a 2014 kubota RTV-X1100c with 200 hrs on the clock. I had my local western plow dealer install a Impact V plow to it not long after I got it. I have a set of amber LED warning lights that I'm installing soon for plowing. (our 1st snow came early this year 10/27 wasn't much but you never know) I was wondering what other people have done to there RTV's to make life easier. I'm not sure what I could do as this 1100 seems to have everything already. Tricks of the trade for working on them are also welcome.

I have the X-900 and love it. Have had it just two years and now have 3,500 miles and 360 hours on it. Gets used every day. I added a lumber/ladder rack, Led front and rear lamps and a BOSS V-Plow. I purchased it with a glass windshield and metal roof. Great machine.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the boss v plow but questioned the x-tra 50 lbs weight over the western. Did you have to install the HD front struts that boss said you needed. western only recommended changing. I adjusted the standard struts to the highest setting and will see how that works. I don't leave the plow hang high on the machine. The plow is either down or off the machine when not needed. I will post a photo as soon as I fig out how to on this site.

Best mod I've made was driving to Canada and buying the $1200 Curtis cab unit for my 900. Added the HD struts and now plow happily in the winter.

The dealer suggested that I didn't need to have the HD suspension. I cranked the suspension up to the stiffest and after two winters I'd say they were right. I, like you, don't drive much with the plow in the up position. I take the plow off right after plowing since it is so easy. The only thing I don't like is the remote unit has buttons that are so small that you can't operate it effectively with gloves on. I would rather have a joy stick. The BOSS plow is substantial and works really well.
