I'm going to have to install that small piece that goes under the bottom, didn't know it existed until after the unit arrived ~~ Haven't had our back slider but about 2 weeks.... Wish I had it back during hunting season....

I have a few questions regarding the usability of the glass
back sliding window. First of all, I notice that the rear protector
screen ( metal ) is on the outside of the window. How do you clean the
back side of the window if it gets dirty? Does the sliding glass tilt out
somehow for easy cleaning? Also, does the window cause any
additional noise ( rattle or squeaks )? Thanks for your input.

I HAVE NOT HEAR ON ANY RATTLE OR SQUEAKS FROM THE WINDOW

ON MIND THERE IS ABOUT A 2'' BETWEEN THE GLASS AND THE PROTECTOR

THE GLASS IS STATIONARY JUST SIDES FROM SIDE TO SIDE DOES NOT TILT

TO CLEAN I WILL SPRAY WITH A WATER HOSE AND SPRAY WITH WINDEX

THE BOLTS THAT COME WITH THE KIT ARE ABOUT 2'' LONGER YOU

COULD PUT A SPACER ON THE BOLT OR GET LONGER BOLT WITH SPACER

TO GET THE PROTECTOR SCREEN WHERE YOU DESIRE TO CLEAN THE GLASS

HOPE THIS HELPS

On the Back Slider Window,

No Squeeks or rattles on mine, I did put longer bolts and spacers . Going to come off with my lock-nuts and install some wing-nuts >>>>> should of done that at first, but , learn as we go ~~~~

Cleaning will be no problem ... This accessory is going to be a big plus for me [:D]

I couldn't wait any longer, so I order a rear slider after seeing this post. The problem that I have, is I currently have a factory installed Curtis Cab and the rear lower cab frame that is located under the slider prevents me from installing the optional filler panel that is offered by Essex. I previously had the snap-on vinyl rear cover, but it was hard to see out when the sun hit it. The vinyl cover did offer 100% dust, wind and rain protection, but the new slider doesn't work well with the Curtis Cab if you want to be fully sealed from side-to-side and top-to-bottom.

Having the 900 with no cab, that back-slider was a big plus for us. All we wanted to help keep the cold air and rain from blowing in on the back of your neck. Plus, of course, it helps so much on any back draft noise ..... Didn't know till after I received the back-slider, that they had a filler panel.
