Holy cow....

I just saw that I have over 1,000 posts on this forum, most of which have been talking about the RTV.

Dang, I need to spend more time riding/driving and less time just talking about it...

Frigging office work... I need to put my computer/office on my RTV so I can "work on the road". Anyone know how to do wireless deep into the woods?

I often have wondered how well those cell phone cards for laptops work. Cell service seems so spottly, I'm skeptical. But it would be cool.

Sounds like you have a similar job like mine. I
am also connected to a laptop for 3/4 of day. I have a backup data
card that I use when I do not have access to a high speed connection.
Data cards are not as fast and do have limited coverage. Interesting
concept of working remote or mobile in RTV. Would that classify the
RTV as a home office?

I couldn't do it... If I took my computer (via RTV of course) out into the woods, I'd surely get nothing done. I'd just be watching nature or figuring out which trees are firewood or something.

Hmmm. RTV as home office. I'm just going through my mind on how one would classify that on their taxes. I already have a vehicle and home office related to work but the RTV would be something inbetween.

Now of course, If I were to actually get an air card and take my laptop out into the woods, it wouldn't take long before the whole bed of the RTV was filled with equipment. Afterall, I'd need to take the laptop itself as well as an external monitor, keyboard, mouse, docking station, printer/copier/fax/scanner, a couple deep-cycle batteries with power inverters, UPS...
