Need a Hydraulic Dump system for my RTVX-900

So the used machine I got was the very basic used machine. No Hydraulic dump bed, no tilt steering wheel lever, not glove box cover.

The wife is insistent on having the dump bed feature. I called Messick, $1000. Seems a bit steep but welcome to Kubota.

Wondering if there is a less expensive source.

Also, wondering if I should just build my own. In a way I would like to get away from the manual control and put something on the dash, a simple rocker switch.

I guess I would need to know the exact size of the cylinder, a new one from Messick is $300 or so.

Any thoughts?

Oh heck yeah. I have had no interest in mucking with the Hydraulics (I can, my tractor is a fully Hydraulic and I am getting much more comfortable running hoses and dealing with valve systems). That said

Is the stroke the same as the Hydraulic ram? Looks like the lift weight is about the same?

This would be a great solution to the $1000 plus price for the Hydraulic version.

Another suggestion - before you put substantial money in your 900 to add tilt steering and a dump bed, you might consider asking the dealer what it would cost to trade up to an X1120.

You have a great machine there in your 900 and it would be great if you can make it the way you need it to be if that is the best route for you at this time.
