I just installed my SECOND mechanical fuel pick-up pump and,i still experience an oil leak. i sent the first one back, and now,the replacement has the same issue,,,,the oil is coming out where the "tickler" or mechanical pump (used for priming) shaft runs through the fuel pump,it is not sealed to the inside crankcase,i find it hard to belive that i now have 2 defective new pumps? i now, suspect pcv problems? (excessive crankcase pressures),does anybody have any input for me? thanks in advance for any help

HMMMMM. my 2007 1100 doesn't leak there. is the pump an oem kubota pump??? you can take the cover off of the pcv on top of the valve cover and clean the diaphragm and the tiny passage that vents the crank case.

no,the fuel pump is a cheapie, but,i still dont understand the oil leak? the only thing left to do it check what you recomended AND,replace both air filters,if the secondary air filter is restricted,it will not DRAW air from the crankcase,,,,,,,,,,,

never hurts to clean or change filters. remember to clean the pcv passage in the top of the valve cover and check the spring and diaphragm. i'll bet you a wooden nickel that an original equipment pump won't leak.
