There are several threads on this forum discussing Kubota RTV900 water temp gauges, problems, and solutions. I have carefully read and re-read all those threads and posts.
One poster mentioned that he was going to replace his temp gauge with an ISSPRO gauge. I used the info in his post to tap into the ISSPRO website, and I have found a temp gauge I think will work well on my RTV900: the ISSPRO 5658.
ISSPRO's website has links to instructions detailing how to install the 5658 gauge. This is where my PE major comes into play: I really don't know whether I have to install all the sending unit and related electrical gizmos, or whether the 5658 can be installed as a plug-and-play unit ... just disconnect the wires and remove the OEM temp gauge, install the 5658, and plug in the old wires.
So ... my question for you who know all about these things is: can I unplug my OEM temp gauge, replace it with the 5658, and be on my merry way, or is the 5658 a complete kit that involves replacing the sending unit and all the other stuff?
I appreciate your guidance and advice. Play Ball.
