Power to spare

Yesterday while cleaning out my unfinished shop, I elected to pull my inoperable JD 2640 tractor from the shop to the barn. Tractor was previously used to drive an irrigation pump. I'd let it run for about 3 hours when I felt the need to check on the tractor. When I arrived, the tractor had just shut down and locked up after developiing an engine oil leak. Sad day, anyway that's why the tractor is inoperable. The shop manual states that the tractor's shipping weight is 5100 lbs. You guessed it! Yep, hooked the RTV 900 XT to it and drug the tractor about 150 yards to the barn. Pretty much just drove as slow as the RTV would go in low range. It frankly didn't feel like anything was hooked to the RTV. The path to the barn was flat, yet this is still an impressive feat for the RTV.

I guess I'll have to see if it will pull the JD 6410. With front end loader, that tractor is over 14,000 lbs. Somehow I bet the little RTV will do it, but I believe I'll forego this to avoid possible damage.

Man I do like this RTV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried a hill today in high, about a 45 degree angle and started on the hill, no problem with a passenger. Although I'm not seeing a power decrease, It will now only travel about 21 mph with 23 hours on it. Before it would run about 25 / 26. I hope the first service takes care of this.

Yes, power to spare.....

About three years ago, had a oak tree fell across from neighbors property.
From where they were, they couldn't tell the tree fell across one of my
paths. They cut
up to the thicket and stopped. Leaving a bunch of the truck and debree on our side. The trunk of the tree was right across my path I cut threw to head to another section. With a chainsaw, I cut some of the attached big limbs.
Told Mrs. Two Guns to get the chain, I'm going to try something.
Could not believe what this little monster did. Move that big part of the tree
and turned it around and out of the way. Shocking. Now that was a Kodak
moment !!!! They are strong !!!!
