My 2006 Progator 2020 was idling, died like ignition was cut off...has good healthy spark (jumps 10mm gap with authority), compression approx 125 psi, carb is clean, jets clear, cutoff solenoid working.
Had fuel in cylinders and puddling in intake manifold, cleared, unplugged fuel pump, filled float bowl and no sign of fire.....evacuated carb, used starting fluid and engine fired/rumbled but not as it should.....removed exhaust, no change.....valves are not tight.
Could cam timing have shifted?
key posssibly sheared?
I have verified cam timing is close by verifying overlap but cant tell exactly, I can only verify within 10-15 degrees this way
What could I be missing?
