Hoping to keep a ruger mini-14 ( 38" long) in a weather proof rifle case mounted on the Kabota.... Has anyone made or can suggest a rifle mount system that attaches to the back screen of the 900 that works well. Thanks in advance....
By the way I just had my 50 hour done... had all filters and hydraulic fluid changed too.... runs great......I live in NE Washington State elevation 3500' with steep terrain..... glad I bought the RTV... going downhill with a load of firewood is a breeze.

I looked everywhere for the "perfect" gun rack for my RTV, and found just the one I needed. It is a overhead gun rack, which the rifles are all above your head and out of the weather and out of the way until needed. The BIG SKY SBR-2G, that is the ultimate rack. I looked at many that farmers around here has mounted different racks, none of them which I was interested in , and then ran across a gentleman that had the Big Sky, and knew right away, this is IT. The item is easy to install, and will hold big rifles as well as the carbine units, & also is very, very, sturdy ... Take a look at them on the internet http://www.bigskyracks.com/You will not be disappointed at all. I oversee a plantation and carry two rifles with meALL the time, above my head. Easy to get in, and out for use !!!!!!!!!

Hunterworks made one for the RTV but they're dropping RTV products due to low sales (they specialize in the more recreational vehicles).
Here's a link to a tool bar they have that uses the gun cases. I'm not sure, but I believe it may be universal and fit the RTV.

Give them a call if you're interested to see if it'll work.

Which hard-case are you using? Kolpin? What kind of mounting brackets does it have? Can it mount to an ATV rack? I made something that may work if it does.

Thanks for the info on BigSky and Hunter. Right now I am using nothing but a waterproof case that is always in the way. Mounting it to the roof sounds interesting. I have a plastic roof and glass windshield so that might be the place to keep it. I'll check out both websites.....regards Tonasket

I have the single gun Big Sky and it works real well. It's mounted on an aluminum plate with stainless steel u-bolts attached to the ROPS. I keep a .22 Hornet on hand for ground hogs and coyotes when I'm out and about.

I hung one of these:

from my rear screen. I took off the straps and used nylon ties to hang three caribiners at the right height on the screen. If you hang it on the inside and put rain gear in the pockets it acts like a head rest.

I see you have a cab light, that's something I have been looking into installing on mine. Haven't needed one yet, but I know it's a coming as soon as I head out into the dark ........

Yep, I found that one on the web someplace. It is designed for jeeps and includes straps that mount it securely to the roll bar. It works well.
