Seems many tractor manufactors dont get that we have 7 foot garage doors. Most people fold them down and thats where they stay making them useless.Roll cage up no seat belt useless.I want to keep my cage up and use the belt when i feel i need it.
Tractor mfgrs are in cahoots with the lumber, garage door and trim makers to make sure they get $$$ from all of us hitting the garages.
Actually, I think it has to do with the height and structure at the front of the hood (in case of rollover). Imagine a line from the top of the ROPS to the front hood structure. Under that line is the protected area.
If your hood is low (which mfgrs do for front visibility reasons), the ROPS needs to be taller.
Tall hoods/structure means the ROPS can be lower.
