I just lost the alternator & water pump belt off my 2011 RTV1100 and am a ways from a Kubota dealer. Kinda disappointed the OEM one died with less than 100 hours on it. Suppose I could get a Gates from an Napa (or similar place) that would hold up a little better? Anyone got a part number handy?...or should I just stick to the OEM Kubota one?

If you're away from a dealer, I'd take what you can get and look at best options later.

Why/how did you lose the belt? Stick?

My RTV is 8 years old and even after kicking the belt once (in a drunken pit dive), it's still fine.

A few years ago, I got one for my '05 900 at a parts place similar to NAPA. They may have a book with the size listed. bordercollie

edit: I googled rtv 1100 alternator belt and came up with this I know that is a Kubota # but thought it might help in some way ... :

I was having a tough time pulling out of a dry creek bed so I got a run for it. Got out but with the battery light came on. Got up to the house and it sounded a little hot (although temp was still ok). Had dinner and a nap and whalla...found the culprit, I snapped the belt. I do believe I find myself the object of one of my favorite jokes: "What are the most common last words of a redneck?...Dude, hold my beer and watch this!"

When I jammed a stick into mine while hauling wood I just took the old belt to NAPA and got a replacement. That was 3 years ago and it has worked fine.

We use napa belts on ours. I could tell you the number but the majority of ous are 900's (they don't have A/C). Do what muleman suggested and take the old one in, they'll measure it and should have a replacement for you.
