RTV 900 for sale or trade

When we started building this house about 5 years ago, I bought a L3410 to do the landscaping, backfilling around the foundation and such. The reason we bought one instead of renting is our driveway is gravel, very steep and about a mile long. We had to have something to keep the snow off the driveway or living here in the winter was not an option. It was also necessary to keep the driveway in good shape.

Almost two years ago, I went to thedealer toget a couple filters for the tractor and saw the RTV on the showroom floor. I said, "Boy, sure wish they made a snow blade for that thing". The salesman just smiled.

I wouldn't allow Jan to get on the tractor. I was just to afraid she'd turn it over, our property is really that steep. I had scared the bejeebers out of myself a couple times and I wasn't going to take a chance on her getting hurt. With the RTV, I thought I could keep the snow off, which it does VERY well, and she could use it anytime she wanted to for garden goofing and stuff like that.

Now the problem. My driveway is washing down the hill and I have no way of EASILY keeping it groomed. I've looked and there is nothing out there that I can attach to the rear of the RTV and do what I can with a 3 point hitch. I hate to sale the RTV, it's really a nice unit. It has a heater, heavy duty front struts, glass windshield, soft top, bed liner and lights I've mounted on the top facing aft. We've owned the RTV two years this spring and as of last night when I checked, it had 38.9 hours on it. It just sits in the garage. It has never spent a night outside. It's as clean on the bottom as it is on top. And when I say it's "Like New", it really is.

I'm looking atthe B7610 with a scraper blade and front end loader. Any advice or wonderment would be appreciated. I found this forum when I first looked at the RTV and your answers and help was invaluable back then as I'm sure it will be now. Thanks to all of you for allowing be to be a part of this group, even though I stayed in the background.

I'm looking to sell the RTV and buy the tractor or if given a good deal, just trade. At any rate, I'm staying with Kubota.

I forgot to mention, it also has the Curtis snow blade with electric lift but no hydraulics.

Have you tried the ebay thing, they always sell there from what I've seen..... Sounds like you have a super RTV , heck, it's not even close to being broke in yet !!!! You don't even have enough hours to do the first service on the machine.....

Sorry to hear you're parting with your RTV. Just as sorry to hear about your driveway.

To get an idea of value, I'd check/watch the e-bay "completed items" for "Kubota RTV" and see what a 2006 setup similar to yours is selling for. Adjust as necessary based on options and hours.

Sight-unseen it's hard to figure out but I'd probably look at somewhere between $11,000 - $12,500 depending on how fast you want to sell. At $11,000 it would probably sell very quickly. At $12,500ish, it'll probably sell but may take some time.

Being a very clean unit, what kind of interest does the dealer have? If they have a bunch of new units, they may not be interested in used but if they're low-volume, a nice clean '06 may bring customers in.

Did I know I'd get good advice here or not? Always have, probably always will. I stopped by the Kubota dealer today and wow, does that B7610 look good. It's a lot lower than the L3410 that I had. That would be very nice on these steep hills. Oh, and I saw my first 1100. Wow, that's a real machine there.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the comradery and helpful insight that you've provided. It's alwaysa pleasure to browse through here every so often to see what you guys are doing. Thanks for sharing your life with others. Thanks for helping me.

have you considered a pull behind driveway maintainer? there are a
variety out there, some with a power tiller type and others are more
along the line of a drag box. could be an option so you could use the
rtv instead of tractor. Bill B.
