RTV x1100c shakes at idle - mid rpm

New to me rtv x1100c. Starts great. Runs great down the road.
Problem is that the engine shakes quite a bit at idle up to about 1/2 rpm. At full throttle it's not noticable.

I swapped out the injectors and injection pump delivery valves with another engine and it made no difference.

Any suggestion?

Simple things first. What is your idle rpm?

Idle rpm is set correctly. I have several other of these machines and this is the only one that I've had this issue with.

What rpm is it ideling at?

Factory setting. Thinkk it's about 1000rpm

Ok. So you have put a tach on it and confirmed? This has been a problem for years for just a few. The idle set to low at factory. The symptoms are exactly as yours. Could be a bad or improperly installed harmonic ballancer

Solved! Seems that the previous owner had removed the crank pulley and installed in out of time. Corrected that and it runs nice and smooth.

Would you expand? Was the key missing

The crankshaft is splined. The front pulley is timed to the crankshaft. When it was put on last, the mechanic clearly did not know this and did not install it correctly.
