these are supposed to go 29mph and mine won't get anywhere near it

it's only got about 10 hours on it right now so I don't want to push it too hard but it labors to hit 20 and the fastest I've been able to get it to is 22

anybody run into something like this? i'm having a hard time believing that the engine is just still so tight that it's killing 33% of the speed i'm supposed to have but maybe it is

Welcome to the forum!

I'd let the dealer know about it now but then drive it another 10-20 hours to see what happens.

If you don't want to wait, replace your tranny fluid and filters. Crap from manufacturing may have gotten into and partially clogged the filters which would cause this. Make sure you use Kubota's UDT fluid when you change the fluid. RTV's don't like other mfgr's fluid and it could make your situation worse.

WELCOME

All I can say is when i purchased my 1100c it had 18 hours on it and it now has close to 70 hours. it has loosen up quite a bit. i didn't open it up all the way for the first 50 hours as the owners manual suggested but after the 50 hour service and a complete fluid change it is progressively getting quicker and seems to be gaining some power also. but as i have said before you should check and see it it rolls easy in neutral just to make sure nothing is in a bind.

Relax. Take a deep breath. Make a note. Give it a chance to break in. Tell the dealer when you take it in for the 50 hour service.

It's under warranty. Take advantage of that and don't start twisting adjustments on the transmission or engine or getting crazy with filters and fluid.

Oh! something else you can check is the spark arrest in the exhaust. you may have the new swirl type. if you do there is a small plug in the rear outside of the muffler. the manual says to remove the plug and rev the hot engine while tapping on the muffler with a mallet.

I have noticed that as it breaks in my top speed has improved. also i replaced the tranny fluid after 50 hours with SUDT and that also helped . I wouldn't worry about it until after the 50 hour service.

good lord...

I thought that had to be a joke post but sure enough, remove screw beat with hammer every 50hrs

all to hell with that, anybody make an aftermarket real muffler for these yet?

anyway, the dealer offered to come pick it up and look at it

it's going to be in the 40s and raining all week so I agreed, wouldn't be able to get any riding in anyhow

My stock muffler is working great 10 years and 2,052 hours later. You won't need a replacement anytime soon, or maybe ever.

I have not experienced any speed issues with my 1120D, it can hit 29 and cruise down the road at 25 solid all day. Have had the pedal to the metal from hour 1 so have faith and as others have said keep getting warranty service until the machine runs to advertised speed specifications.
