Not knowing how to test a separate regulator, I would check the belt tension and if it was good, have the alternator tested at a NAPA or AutoZone type place. If the alternator is good, must be the voltage regulator. Maybe one of our members knows how to test a regulator.

Battery light in
Checked voltage at battery 12.7v OK
Started RTV
Voltage stayed the same
Should have gone above 14v if it was charging
Ok
Has regulator and alternator
Now how do I continue troubleshooting priblem

New revelation
Just go under and found alternator on drivers side front of back tire
And guess what - Duh
Alternator belt is broken
Duh - Hope this is all that is wrong

I am curious how many hours were on that alternator belt and about how much those belts go for if you wouldn't mind sharing.

This is first problem I have had,
Will go try to find belt tomorrow and let you know how hard to find and what it cost.

You are rightIf you still have the broken belt, try a car parts store. A national chain normally has just about every size belt available and in stock.
Paid $12 for Gates belt
