RTV900 Hesitates

Well Guys the second hand RTV I bought has now had all fluids and filters changed. I have not adjusted anything yet but it does have a problem.

It Hesitates to move In Med Or High until it Revs up quite a bit, then it runs perfectly. When you start out in Low or Reverse it is just fine.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Al

Mine acts similar to that.. It takes a second after I push the pedal for it to move but then,it will go fine. It has always been like this . In other words, I never, ever, get the joy of spinning out..

Yes, that hesitation to get moving can actually become a real problem. Backing up that last inch or so to get lined up with the ball of a trailer for instance. If one just gives it a bit of pedal the RPMs begin to increase and then all of a sudden the transmission kicks in when you were ready for it 2 seconds ago. Then the engine is going to fast for a slow controlled 1 inch move and you move to far.

For me, I ride the brake with the left foot and the right on the fuel. I give it a bit of gas and then when I feel with the "seat of my pants" that it is engaged and ready to move I ease up a bit on the brake and use the brake to control movement while holding the fuel/gas RPMs steady....... hope that makes sense......

Too many times, til I learned to do that, I was "easing" my way into trouble due to that hesitation....... God bless...Dennis
