RTV900 high rise intake

I am looking at the high rise intake kits from Kubota. I see one mounts on the ROPS and the other is for a cab model. Where does the cab model mount? I am getting a metal roof, but not planning on the Kubota cab. I would like to use some type of soft cab for winter use though. Can someone post a picture of the ROPS and cab mounted high rise intake?

Thanks so much!!

HEY.......Perhaps you can perform a search for "high rise intake"or "high rise air filter". There have been umpteen hundred threads about this with many pictures, methods of attachment, construction techniques, and materials. YOU will definately benefit from doing this and your engine will be very happy that you do........God bless.......Dennis

Hey guns, the one in the pictures may be your best bet if your gonna be changing your roof. The roof mount filter bracket mounts to the U- bolt just behind the rear fog lamps (RH side) on the cab with a third bolt going through the hole that fog lamp is mounted in. If you still need a picture, I'll try to get you one just a bit of a pain to do here at wk.

This is the only OEM High Rise they ( KUbota ) had when I made the purchase.

Personally, not because we have it. It for reason it don't stick over the cab.
I've seen several other models, don't know if they were Kubota or aftermarket high rise sets. But seen others stuck above the cab. And that, I don't need. There is enough things up there to grab vines and limbs.
Another thing, I've seen the ones with plastic or glass tops. Don't need
that either. Not saying they are not good or will not work. Just would not
do for my applications in the swamps and thick woods.

Thanks for the pics! I am guessing that is considered the ROPS intake kit. So, the other one for cabs sticks up above the roof? I just want to make sure I get the right kit ordered since my local dealer will not let me return any special orders.

Thanks!

Kubota High Mount Air Cleaner Kit V4271
is what we have.
Make your dealer look it up. He should know. That way the responsibilty is
on his shoulders.
He knows what you have. Make him order the one for your machine !!!!!

Yes mrploww the roof mount will stick up and out from the roof, whereas the ROPS model mounts to the rear of the ROPS (what twoguns has). The roof mount isn't necessarily higher than the roof, but it attaches to the roof so anything that hits the roof (limbs vines etc.) will hit the air filter.

Hey TwoGuns,
How do you keep that mochine soooo clean? It looks soooo klean I bet u never take it out of the garage (lol).

EVERYTIME we take the machine out hunting in the swamps.
It gets a bath as soon as we return. Don't matter what time of the
day or night it is.

Secret is the spray. We spray it down with a commercial spray that is like
STP's Son of a Gun protectant. Mud, dirt, mud will not stick. Just grab the
hose and get after it !!!!

The back gets full of blood. The machine has come in from the swamps not really knowing what color the machine is in the winter months.

Firm believer if you take care of something. It will take care of you !!!!!

Hey Two Guns,
Like the sign - There's a guy around here that has a sign on his that reads "Ain't Nothing Here Worth Dyin' For". Yeah, in the winter here I don't have any place to wash mine off so, it gets pretty dirty - still spring. We just had an additional 11.5" of snow (heavy wet stuff) to contend with. I like the idea of the spray. Is the stuff u get a lot cheaper than the STP? And do u spray everything? What's the name of it & where do u get?

I like the Kubota factory high rise but, that upper bracket would be a problem for me. Because of the weather here my cab is enclosed so I have flexible rear window & I wouldn't want to poke any holes in it. So, I think I'll have to come up with something like Mark did.

In 90 Percent of the plastics that are orange and the steel bed and frame areas I wipe them down with Diesel. It dosnt stink and puts a nice coating on things making them water proof and removes a lot of the dirt and tree saps from body parts.I havnt seen any iill effects to date. And I always have dielel on hand..I just pour some on a rag and wipe things down.another choice for at least all the plastics is armor all or rain x that you use on windshields.Diesel is the less costly armor all isnt to bad wd 40 is ok and rain x is about the most expensive.

The bracket for the canister (air filter canister) is attached to the
back safety mesh.

Plus, in my application. I need the canister up high. For the canister low
would let water seep into it around the seems and in the little flex weep
hole.

This set up would work great, if only I didn't have the swamps to run in .....

I don't have too many swamps to worry about & really not much dust (just from the dirt road). If I put the canister up high I'd have to make a bracket to attach it to the metal roof, which is do-able. The factory set-up is very functional & looks cool. I bet its spendy since its Kubota.

I spent 155$ then, probobly more now >>>>

If I had to do again, maybe would get a hose equivilent to what comes with the high rise kit. Use the SAME air filter canister that came with the machine. Mount it the same.

But at the time of purchase back then, didn't know what the kit consisted of. Dealer told me of the kit, I purchased. No regrets at all. Will save your
machine from getting dusted and water-logged !!!!

Hey Two Guns did I give you permission to use my image to clutter it up with yellow arrows???Is distracts from the nicely framed dirt!!!!!! lol
THe one advantage when I was doing mine was I didnt need to worry about water just the dust here as a filter change 1ce a month was costly. And im more than sure depending on how you want to go and with the pvc fittings the can be coplaced just about anyplace that looks good.Where there is a will there is a way to make it look good work and save a ton of cash.
