Seeing your dipstick

This is what i do and works well for me.Clean your dipstick with scotch brite.Then with gun barrel blueing blue your dipstick up about a inch a couple times it will get darker each time wipe it off now when you ck oil look for the shiney black thats your level.JOE

Great idea. That is how GM dipsticks were in the 80s and it was much easier than "find the dot" used these day.
