servo adjustment

O.K. folks, I have seen numorous folks ask about the servo adj. on the units, and every thread I see says to do a search and find it. When I do a search for "servo adjustment" all I find is threads where people have ask how and they are told to do a search. Am I missing something, or are the treads that actually explain the process gone? I found the thread where Mark said if adj. properly you should NEVER have to back out of the throttle and he said he would post a pick of the adj. then the thread ends??? Any help will be appriciated.

You need to flip your seat up, look on the passenger's side looking back toward the engine...you'll see the servo (black portion in pic)

Loosen the jam nut (I think it's a 14mm) and then back the adjusting screw out....back out a 1/2 turn at a time or so and then try it out by taking a ride....if you go too far your buggy won't move at all and you'll know you went way too far....not enough and you'll always be bogging down.

After I adjusted my buggy I can spin tires all day long in the dirt which it couldn't before....I can also go up the steepest hills without backing off the go pedal....the buggy will still slow down on some long grades but nothing like before the adjustment.

There is also an excellent thread on adjusting wide open throttle on another forum that comes up in a Google search...it's got great pics and descriptions. Picking my rpms up to 3900 made a huge difference. The only downside of the WOT adjustment is you need a tach with an inductive pickup like a digital multifunction timing light.

Good luck, if you need more help let me know and I'll see if I can help you out.
