Sprayer Attachment Question

Can anyone here suggest where I may search online for an aerial sprayer attachment for my RTV900?

I have a 25 gal. tank with a 12 V. electric motor pump. I use it for spraying pre-emerge herbicides on our yard. But I have only a hand-held wand for applying the spray.

I trust there is an aerial applicator somewhere on the market ... one that mounts perhaps in the trailer-hitch mount and has a quick-connect hose adapter for the chemical line.

What say ye?

i would go to tractor supply (TSC) and get one of their tank units,,mount it on a square pipe and shove it into the reciever. I think you can buy just the spray pipe too and put it on your tank.

Heatwave, how much area are you wanting to cover and how much chemical are you wanting to put out per acre? There is a boomless kind which will fit in your receiver and then there is a boom type. If you have a lot of gates you may want a boomless one although you have to be a little more careful with drift because of the arc. Some where on here, I have a thread about my sprayer for the rtv.. You could always add a Y connector to direct the sprayer from the boom to the wand. That way,If you run into a patch of weeds, you can just switch the Y ( like on a garden hose Y with the little turn to select things) , to spray them and then go back to the boom in a jiff.. Also remember that you will need a bigger 12 v pump if you get many jets on the boom or else the spray won't reach far... bordercollie

Good advice. Thank you all. It's just a 3 acre yard ... I don't need a "full farm" unit ... no gates to fool with. I just thought maybe there's a quick-attach unit that snaps into the trailer hitch, has a quick-connect fitting for the hose, and sprays a reasonably uniform dose of chemicals in the RTV's wake. The Y-connector is a good suggestion; many thanks. I'll visit a farm implements store and see what's available. God bless.

Thank you, again, BC. That link is exactly the kind of item I had in mind. I shall proceed accordingly. Many, many thanks.
