Enjoy all of your post. Your posts always said "Don't go cheap now". You are right. I wanted the best. After much searching I have found the (I think) Super UDT Fluid at a price I can afford. I bought 55 gallon barrel for $600.00, and fluid is RED! I like red and can see it on the dip stick.

Hope your " thinking " is correct !!!!!! Sure is much fluid if you cannot put it to use ~~~~~~~ I would imagine you have other equipment to use it with ~~~~~

Are you sure you have enough for the RTV ? Actually forgot the transmission fluid capacity !!!!

Serious question ..... Is the density the same as the Kubota Super UDT ?

I think the fluid that replaces Super UDT is Chevron Synthetic All-Weather THF and not 1000 THF.( I know their literature shows it as a substitute for Super UDT) No doubt that the 1000 THF is good stuff but it's not synthetic. Super UDT has a synthetic component but regular UDT does not. I think it is available only in 55 gallon drums but it was rumored to have been available on the west coast in 5 gallon pails.

I substituted Super UDT for B-6 fluid in a small Case/IH hydro tractor that we have. We had a lot of "clutch chatter" and noise on that tractor (mainly reverse) and wanted to see if the Super UDT would help. The jury is still out but it seems to be getting a little better. The 3-point hydraulics are different for sure. We're still trying to get them adjusted - they're much more sensitive.

When the summer heat kicks in we'll see what happens.
