Surprised me.

Last night after dark i looked out the door and thought i had left the light on but then i realized it was someone comming down my six hundred foot long driveway. We have had six inches of snow and it was slick under the snow and the driveway slopes enough that i leave my truck on top of the hill in a shed when it gets like this. Someone is lost and i'am thinking let him get a wrecker since i do not want to hook on to him and pull the ft end off his full size van but no way could a wrecker get down my lane and it's cold and snowing and i figure i want to try the RTV so i get her out thinking no way and we find some steel to hook on to under the van so i put her in FWD and press down on the wheel lock and away we go up an out and through drifts with no weight in the back and worksite tires no problem. I like my RTV even more now. :wow:

That is great Whatscooking!! Lucky for them too.At first, I thought you saw and were talking about that "meteor" that lightened up the sky last night for a few seconds. It was seen mostly in the Deep South. Anyway, Cheers for you and the RTV!! Bordercollie

You guys that live in the snowy extremes get to practice what most of us in the Southern portions of this country are just be exposed to.......the RTV is fantastic in snow and ice......Our drive/road is 1/2 mile with LOTS of it on a 12 to 18 degree slope......NO WAY do we use the F250 or the Honda Pilot that both have 4wd............snow, snow melt, with ice on top have produced a pretty deadly combination for here in NW Georgia......

In the last 4 days we have hauled wood, hunted coyotes, checked the fenceline through the woods and forest, hauled hay, and just checked up on neighbors.........NO PROBLEMS or concerns........

Daughter is on her way as I write this to drop off grand baby girl....3yo joy and treat....Daughter and SIL are both management types of carpet mills and first day since Friday of going in.......We are meeting them at the bottom of the hill in the RTV......Ah the joys of being prepared and equiped.......God bless.......Dennis

Snow isn't usually real big on the agenda down in East Texas although we did get an inch or so last week-end but, as far as being prepared and equiped, I do try to be ready for most short term emergencies.

Mine will go in the snow but my old bones like heat and an enclosed cab. I have plenty of other equipment to run around in the snow. About the only thing I use mine for in the snow is filling the feeder and hauling trash to the hole.
