Hi guys,

Well I took the plunge and boughta 900 camo rtv I should get it
with in a week or two. You know the funny thing is two months ago when
I was decideing between the xuv and the rtv if you were to ask me then
which machineI would want I would of said xuv hands down. I guess
after test driving the rtv and then test driving the xuv. I was sold on
the rtv in my opinion the rtv isa hell of alot better build quality.
And you get more bang for your buck. for 400 dollars more I got power
steering, a hydro trans, and a real hydraulic dump. And not to mention
42 months0% financing. I thought it was a no brainer which one to buy.
And then after choseing which brand to buy the hard part was deciding
which model to go with 1100 or 900. And after priceing them out. And
my wife telling me we would be in divorce court if I got the 1100.
Again it was a no brainer on which one to get. Well I am still maried
so I went with 900. I thought it was a pretty good price too. $10800.00
for base recreational and my options were the high rise air in take,
plastic roof, heavy duty front struts. And a spray in bedliner. Which
brung the price up to $11250.00 which still is not that bad. And then
my last option was the plow with power angle for $1900.00. That option
really jumped the price up but I think it will be worth it. And an
other thing I could not beleave is how difference the prices are from
dealer to dealer. One dealer was $800.00 more on the machine and
$300.00 more on the plow with power angle. And I tried to get the
service manual thrown in like Two Gunns saidbut he said no way he was
all ready down real low on his price and I would have buy it for
$60.00. But I did manage to get a $13,000 dollar kubota hat. so I got
that going for me. Any ways I just wanted to say hi and tell you this
is a very informative forum. And all of your posts influnced me for the
options I am getting espeicialy Two Gunns with the high air intake. I
will post some pictures of the beast when I get her, soon hopefully.

Okay, my post starts now. I copied robuta's into this group so people could see what I was replying to.

Like robuta, I too took the plunge yesterday. I took my wife with me. I had been researching an RTV for several years now, involving her in every step. I knew I wanted a heated cab and power angle plow, so the 1100 made sense. A couple months ago I had talked to the dealer and got a quote on RTV 1100 orange with Blizzard LT680 plow, bedliner, and rear mesh screen. I'd also talked to another local dealer on the same configuration, and he was within a couple hundred dollars, so I knew the quote was fair.

First thing we did was get the keys and drive it around the lot. I had driven a 900 previously, so I wanted to make sure the 1100 was as nice to drive. (it is - love that power steering) Then my wife took a turn behind the wheel. We both jerked it a little on coming to a stop, but she agrees that she can get used to that. She called it a "beautiful machine".

Then we went in for serious discussions. I went for his original quote if he threw in shop manual and 50 hr service. He went back to check the numbers, and came back with shop manual and the materials for the 50 hr service, with me doing the work. So that is the deal. Done, Plunged. Two to four weeks later it will be here, depending on how quick the plow gets there.

Many thanks to all the members in this group for your ideas and experiences. I'll post pictures when the new RTV arrives.
