u Joints RTV 1100

I read on another forum that Kubota has increased the torque on the rear axels to 140 foot lbs. This was because there were some that had broken the splines on the rear hubes. This was from a Kubota mechanic.
This result was two notches tighter on the castel nut.
Anyway there was alot of play in the axel. U Joint was shot. I read Bordercollies post on u joints for the 900. Is the procedure for the 1100 the same. Are the u joints the same or did the 1100 use different joints ?
I did find a manual on line that is a download. Cost $5.00 Has any one tried this?
I have started on the high rise intake but must do the u joints first. I want to play when we get snow.
Thank you oldhat

Let me make this statement .... Firm believer in Amsoil. PERIOD.
They make some fantastic products. With that being said. I would advise
owners when they grease thier machine, do it so with the Amsoil Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease, NLGI #2.
I'm telling you this stuff does not beat out of the bearings. And the grease does it's job. Buy a tube and use it on all your equipment.
If you are planning on doing any greasing on the RTV, do yourself and the machine a favor, use this grease.
I really believe if one uses this grease on the U-Joints and other moving parts, you will NEVER have to replace them, I believe in this product that much !!!!

........ two guns

the 900w6 #'sK7711-01220 > K7561-01220 > K7711-01250,and the 1100#s,K7711-01220 > K7561-01220 > K7711-01250 > K7571-01220. when you order them make sure you give them the model# and vin # both off the chassis,or you might get the wrong parts, been there, done that!! it should be a rtv1100 then some letters after that.

and the joint replacement is the same for the 900 to the 1100. its fun,but can be done!! depending on which one is bad on yours, the trans end is the easier of the 2, the wheel end isnt fun,but the best thing to do is to get new bearings and seals for the hub end. cheap insurance!

go online to messicks.com,and download a parts manual for your machine, best investment of about 15 minutes of your time!!

Thank you for the info clueless. Have not started yet , the weather turned nice, 65 degrees today. that is nice for January. I have alot of outside work to do and this weather is hard to pass up.I do not take cold as well as I did when younger.
