Traded my 2014 for a 2020 and my insurance agent needs the vin number for the new one. The only thing I can find is a serial number on the back of the cab on the right side. The agent says my old one had a vin number. Am I missing something?

Does that serial # contain 17 characters? If so, that's the VIN.
It may start with something like A5KC2. I think the 10th character should be an L to denote it's a 2020 model. The last 6 characters should be numeric.

on my old 2014 model it is on the cab between the bed and the cab rear. also at least on mine the number is not a vin number but a serial number like a tractor.

Pretty sure they all have to have a VIN # now. Many states require these to be registered which requires a VIN. In the very early models, Kubota screwed up and only made the VIN/Serial # 16 characters. By law, they have to be 17.

I asked my dealer what was going on and they furnished leading 12 numbers and letters to round out the "vin" number with by 5 digit serial number on my cab. Something about Kubota running out of numbers so they needed to add these?
