Wheel Spacers

See much wheel spacers jumping in on the market for the RTV's..... Just thinking would it put more stress on the machine itself. Damage any bearing / splines in the hubs. What is the stress factor ? Is there anyone who has used these yet. We don't need 'em in most of my applications, but I would imagine it would be a little plus for folks that use the RTV on slops or hills with a larger grade . What is ya'll opinion on these ..... [*-)]

Thanks,

Re: Wheel Spacers

I work on a river hill and side hills alot. It would no doubt make the machine more stable running sideways accross the hill but the stress on the lower side wheels would increase. I don't think I would do it. I will just be careful and hopefully have no issues.

Re: Wheel Spacers

someone is more interested in selling spacers than they are concerned about the impact on someones machine. Seems like playing with fire to me. Do you think this is even needed? I've never felt that it was and I've done some pretty dumb stuff.

Re: Wheel Spacers

They put side torque on your bearing that they were not designed to handle. Off-set on your wheels is no longer correct.Quality after-maket wheels adjust their off-set to be bearing neutral. Do Not Use Spacers!!!!
