I did have to remove the original plate then mount the new plate that was specifically for my winch and unit. Hope that helps.

Hey Saint, welcome to the forum. I purchased my winch as a package to be sure the correct mounting plate was with the winch. You should be able to contact the manufacturer and purchase a mounting plate specifically for the 500.

Hey Matt, or anyone else, Was reading thru old treads and became curious. Any idea on haw many hours one could expect from the 500 gas engine? I know it all depends on the maintainance, but just curious if you have seen any fairly high hours?

Will most likely do the front lift and try 26's. I love the looks of the sparticus and the bighorns but am scared they just wont get the job done in the mud. I hit some nasty muddy hills in the spring rains when mushroom season hits. The 44 Mag's just barely do a good enough job but cant justify...

Dixie Whenever I look @ the rear end on the 500 it is a straight axel. From what I see whatever you do with the shocks / struts will raise the body but I don't see how you could raise the axel. ????

I pulled the cap off and removed the center nut but the steering wheel wont come OFF? I even took a rubber mallet to it and it would not budge. Is there anything else besides the center nut holding on the wheel? The squeak is driving me insane. LOL.
