    need help with rear axle

out of the housing is which side, the trans side or the axle side??the trans side is 3 bolts and the flange comes off with it. the axle side is the pain side, you need to take the axle nut off and hit the center of it with a brass hammer or something soft, not hard enough to bend the end over to...

    Trans Fluid change

the newer trucks with the dpf filters they recomend not to put any additive in it,it will plug up the filters,as for the injectors on the heui or hpop systems, some use 2 cycle oil as a additive for the low sulfur fuel. but to each his own. the older injection systems can take a little more...

    Trans Fluid change

the initial fluid and filter is to flush all the small bits of dirt and metal out of the cases from the assembly process, plus the break-in of the parts inside the trans. and maybe what most of you dont realize is that the brakes are a wet brake inside the transmission, the brake assemblies hold...

    Trans Fluid change

it is not the cleanliness of the oil, but the lubricity of it. the trans has many swash-plate motors which generate the pressure for the trans to work, they are variable plate motors so there are bearings lubricated with the fluid also, plus the temperature that they run at also breaks down the...

    Diesel System Lube

i know a lot of the guys running the 6.0 ford diesels who are putting 2 stroke oil in the fuel to add to the lubricity of it.a lot says it helps keep the injectors, pumps lubed, with the low sulfur fuel, there is very little lubricating properties in it with the removal of all the good stuff that...

    Question for the hydraulic folks

if you change the oil per service interval, you shouldnt have any issues.if you even just change the oil every 200 hrs,you shouldnt have any issues.for how much weight the cylinders should have to push, there shouldnt be much heat buildup.

    Question for the hydraulic folks

wouldnt worry about overheating oil, there should be enough time to cool it down, plus length of hose will add to the cooling of the oil.. if you wish, put a cooler inline to the tank off the valve,..
