    New RTVX1140 Observations...

We have had tons of rain on the Texas gulf coast. We have to fight the army worms in our Jiggs fields. I took this pic with a drone on Saturday and if you look at the far field you can see tire marks where my guy was spraying SEVIN to kill the army worms.

    New RTVX1140 Observations...

Thanks....try to keep them on good grass. Also noticed this one is taller that the older one. The Kubota roof puts another inch and a half on it...and barely fits in my trailer which I special ordered to be 7 feet on the inside.

    New RTVX1140 Observations...

I traded off my Rtv1140...2010 model with about 1700 hours and picked up the new rtvx1140. We use these to check cattle mainly. After two days of ownership...and about 40 miles we sure are surprised how much better the ride is compared to the old one. In rough pastures that old one would make...

    Newbie Need Info..

Moejoe, I mounted a winch and led lights on the front and back. I didn't mount a switch (for the winch) on the dash because my friend put a switch on dash, and while his grandkids were riding on it....they would play with the switch and broke his book off the cable twice. I also figured if I...

    Kubota RTV 900 help needed

Dairybota, I had the same power issue and it was a return line on the transmission...there is a service bulletin on this...the return lines break down inside and will not let the fluid flow. Jon

    Cheaper belt for RTV1140

My belt was looking like it was going to fall apart so I picked up one from my dealer. After taking it out of the Kubota package and doing a Google search....looks like my $33 dollar repackaged belt can be bought for $5 or so. Here is the number is anyone needs it.

    1140 Bed/Seat Conversion??

Richard, It will dump anything you can put in it....we have abused our 1140 to the max in the long bed version ..and could never make it not dump. Jon

    2016 RTV X1100C or Honda Pioneer 1000?

Richard, She is a pretty good driver...but doesn't like driving the larger tractors we have...claims it is too hard to see and doesn't turn sharp enough. We have two of these nine bale trailers that you load from the back....when you get to the last bale...and have to slide 8 bales...that...

    2016 RTV X1100C or Honda Pioneer 1000?

I'm certain that Richard is correct...because we have a new MX5800 HST tractor (pictured with my lovely wife running it) and it has a lo/med/high range. You set the throttle where you want it...then just push the "foot peddle" how ever fast you want to go while the rpm's stay wherever you left...

    2016 RTV X1100C or Honda Pioneer 1000?

Another point y'all haven't touched on is...the ladies flock to the kubota's....and even try to kiss you... Jon

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

Richard, Never heard of the new alternating lights but that is a good idea. I don't know when I get much older if I will embrace the technology or not...but here is a pic of my 89 year old grandpa checking the weather on his iPhone while sorting cattle.

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

Mark, Looking at your tractor...I remember loading thousands of round bales with the old multi-handle front end loader. I was really good at it. Now days it is one joystick that is 1" tall and you can speed up and slow down the hydraulics. Took me a while to adapt to the small joystick.

    Cheap windshield- Bordercollie style

Collie, I remember my grandma quit checking cattle in the truck (a international scout flatbed) in the early eighties after running over several calves in tall grass. After that she went to atv's then utv's. She would not approve of me always checking cattle in the trucks...but my cattle are...

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

Richard, That is one heck of a load...we had some high winds and rain the last several weeks..and had some big trees fall on fences. I pulled a huge tree with the rtv yesterday. Had to back up and get a running start..but got it going and pulled it to a big pile. Let my brother get the rest...

    Spraying from the RTV?

David, Looks like you got you a nice sprayer...I am not familiar with the hydraulic pump system..but luckily Bryce has some insight with the surge issue. As far as your two pics...looks like the top spin knob agitates...but where does the small hose go on the little "T" handle one? Jon

    Spraying from the RTV?

David/collie On the 12v ones I've have...the pump would just kick itself on and off and only agitated when you turned another valve. I had an old 300 gallon (in pic...don't have anymore because tank cracked) but I rigged it with an electric valve wired into the 7 way plug on the back of the...

    Spraying from the RTV?

Collie, Here is out 1,000 ground drive that we use....turn it on and off with the hydraulic cycling er on the tire. I mounted boom buster nozzles on the back also. I was told that (by the DuPont rep) that if we let the Honda pump run on the front and mix while we are spraying it will help...

    Spraying from the RTV?

Im not sure the Rtv hydraulics would run that pump...but if you had a tractor it would prob be a good deal. I would personally make them hook it up and show me it works before I bought it. Just my opinion.
