That must have been just days before San Francisco's Earthquake of 1906. (The city was destroyed like Haiti).
Historic trivia - Dad's parents lost their home in the earthquake so they put up a tent in Golden Gate Park. Considering the birthdate of Uncle Charles, it seems he was conceived there!
I noticed that YouTube also has the 21st century equivalent of your 1906 vid. Again, riding down the car tracks to the same Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street.
