Hello everyone, Big Tom here. A first timer. I have a 1980 JD tractor that is leaking hydraulic oil from the load shaft seal area. I have done research on parts and procedure but to tell the truth ,"I don't understand how to make these repairs. My first question is do you have to go internal to make this repair? All I see on the outside of my tractor is the load shaft cap held in place by a pin and a wire clip. A sleeve that the lift arm pivots on and a washer. No seal or o-ring. Are these parts located on the shaft inside of the tractor . Do you remove the shaft completely or do you work on one side then the other. Any advice or instructions are appreciated. Please do not thank I will be insulted if you use simplistic instructions.
