What is the correct fluid for the front axle (differential). Confused. Manual says UDT but existing oil looks like 90wt.

i very quick fix that we use in the field when mud riding is axle grease.if for somereason you bust something and loose your fluid fill the houseing with grease til you get home. now after you get home and have the parts remoce the grease by flushing it out with a parts cleaner then fill with udtdon't try thins in the tranny though the pump won't pump the grease but for the fron difs it's is a fix that will get you home without damaging the rest of your stuff from running it dry.

I once was changing the oil in the front ends and center and something came up so I put off the other side and let it slide. The next time I changed there was an obvious color difference. The one I had skipped was more olive colored while the one changed previously was still a dark honey color. Also a good point Peanut- Thanks although I hope I never have to use it. ;) bordercollie
