I needed some "stickstoppers" for our Bad Boy MTV (NOT a Bad Boy Buggy...). The originals had lightening holes cut in them which completly defeats the purpose since sticks get stuck in the holes and rip the CV boots. STOOOPID!
So Tommy "Peanut" fabricated a pair from some full size drawings that I sent him. They're aluminum plate and they fit like a glove. They hang on the lower A arm so the aluminum reduces the unsprung weight (compared to steel) and makes for a better ride.
I told a friend of mine who's home port (he's the Blue Dolphin captain) is not too far from Peanut's house, just what Peanut was making for me. My creative friend figured that since Peanut lives in the swamps surrounded by gators that he ought to call them Gator Guards® in stead of stick stoppers. I kind of like it...
