New here. Hello everyone. My neighbor (and good friend) recently passed away and I got his old tractor that he got from his dad. I would like to restore it as best I can to honor him. Can anyone identify this tractor from the picture or tell me where to find a vin number or serial number to try to identify it myself. It’s in pretty bad shape but runs great. I wanna do what I can to save it. Thank you.

I don't recognize the tractor. Not a lot left,
The VIN plate is "normally" behind the tractor seat.
