If this sounds like I'm bragging on the RTV. I AM !!!!
Today, Went hunting this morning over in the Mississippi hills And it rained a normal rain for about 2 hours. Then the " slow and steady" rain set in.
Went back this evening and a friend wanted to show me something on the back of the property, but he said it was to bad for the RTV to get to it. He said it was three long, very steep, dangerously slick hills. He said might need to hold off and wait until it dries up, so I can follow him or we can go in the RTV.
Ask him could he get to it on his wheeler, he said "Oh yes, but that Kubota would not have a chance."
He should have not said that.
Told him to lead the way. He said we will wait, I told him again, " lead the damn way" ...
Away we went ....
Yes,,,,, It was as bad as he said, BUT , let me tell you. That wheeler spun the hell out of the tires all the way up the hill, he moved so slow I think a turtle could have beat him up that hill. He zigged, he zagged, and started thinking he was not going to make it even half way up. Then, got to thinking, this might not be such a good idea after all.
He has 27" Mudzillas.
He finally made it and looked down and hollered down and said, " Are you sure you want some of this " ....
I locked in the back axle, put it in Low four. As you know, a Kubota RTV is not fast at all, and for sure is not a ball of fire in low lock four wheel drive.
The RTV went all the way up that hill, never really spinning. But climbed steady. Not only was I shocked, HE WAS TOO .... All he could do when I got to the top was say.
" I can't believe this" >>>>
Don't have a answer on why the RTV out climbed the Honda Four Wheeler. Might of been just luck, might been a combination of tires, weight, gears, ....... don't know.
But I do know this, might not ever happen again, but I do know today, The RTV was " KING OF THAT HILL " .....
