RTV 900 overheating

I have an older model RTV900 maybe 04 or 05. Engine overheats after about 10 minutes of operation. Does not overheat when idling. Water pump, belt, fan switch have been replaced. Radiator and cooling system have been flushed. No oil in water or water in oil. Unit is very slow, top speed maybe 10 mph. Can HST out of adjustment cause engine overheat?

I would guess a cracked head. Kubota makes very good engines but if they overheat once usually it will crack the head. I would stop using it until you fix the head. If you continue to drive it or have used it a lot since the initial overheating, you will bend the connecting rods which will cause a decrease in horsepower. You know it is bad if it becomes hard to start due to low compression.

Thanks Army. I will get the head checked out. I would still like to know if the HST being out of adjustment can cause overheating.

Yes the hst can cause your engine to overheat. There's an oil cooler at the filter. If your oil is excessive hot it can overcome the engine cooling. Get a laser heat gun and check the different locations for heat
