    BATTERY

We use group 26R batteries in ours. We get them at Carquest, and they fit just fine. Cheap since they're an ordinary car battery.

    Any Ethanol in Biodiesel

Sounds like somebody is confusing methanol with ethanol. Ethanol is an oxidizer added to GAS. Some people have used ethanol for bio, but the glycerins don't separate well with it. Methanol is the preferred base for bio. Here in OR we have a lovely mandate that forces everybody to use B5 minimum...

    Where to Buy Worksite Tires?

$120 each ain't bad. We have 2 RTV's that we run on pavement 24/7, so we need tires fairly often. There was an e-bay seller in TN that sold the 350 Mag for $110 w/free shipping, but he doesn't have them anymore. I just paid $127 w/free shipping from atvtire.com. They're impossible to find...

    Rear axle\wheel movement ?

Thanks! I couldn't get the number to work on either Messick's or Coleman's site, but I'll keep digging.

    Rear axle\wheel movement ?

I've been hearing about this and I've been desperately looking for a part number. Does anybody have it? Pretty please? The Kubota breakdowns don't show it, and the local dealer is next to useless. We've got 3000 hours on the original shaft and it sounds like a spoon caught in a garbage disposal.

    Rear axle\wheel movement ?

I just went throught this. I was having a smoke with a coworker while standing next to the RTV, and just for the hell of it I kicked the rear tire. clunka-clunkl WTF? :confused2: We both took a look and saw movement at the axle flange. He's an ex quad mechanic so he was familiar with the setup...

What is your largest load on the RTV yet?

Never had much in the bed, but I pulled a 4500lb boat around for a short distance. I didn't like doing it, and I don't think I will again. That was a lot of strain on that little hitch receiver on that funky rear axle.

    RTV Radiator Relocation?

:agree: I dunno why you would need to do that. Our RTV's don't even get close to warm. On second thought, I'm in the middle of replacing another rock-damaged radiator. We drive at high speed on gravel all the time, and by the look of the photo background that dude might have the same issue.

    Cargo light

I had a pair of OEM Saab factory fog lights sitting around for years, so I used one each on our RTV 900's. I also had a pair of Peterson clamp type bumper brackets that I used for mounts. The lights are actually Bosch, and they're bright enough for cargo and back-up use. I found a 3 position...

    Getting water out of transmission

Ya might wanna change the power steering fluid, too. And maybe the front knuckles. We sucked a bunch of water into the steering on one of our units after it got stuck once.

    no pressure knob

I also saw this on a new 900. I was at the dealer trying to order a replacement relief cable but the parts guy couldn't find it. We went outside to the lot and sure enough, no cable on the new unit. WTF?

    Maker of fluid for service.

I've used both UDT, SUDT and a Shell equivalent and haven't noticed any difference in shifting. Temperatures are pretty moderate around here, though.

Kubota Cheaping Out on on RTV 900 parts?

That sucks. I've seen a lot of that with aftermarket crash parts for cars, but I wouldn't expect that from Kubota, especially for what they charge for OEM parts. And that's always been the rationale for spending the $$ for genuine parts- exact fit. I'd be ticked enough to tell them to ship it...

    RTV Cab Enclosure

We have 2 RTV900's where I work, and the hard cabs are mandatory. There's no way we could use our Kubotas without them. We run 24/7, 365 days. It just rains too much here. In the summer we need the shade from the roof, but we take the doors off from about May til October. When we took delivery...

Want some water with that fuel?

The bigger Racor units have a primer pump, but the little 15gph one I'm putting in doesn't. The Kubota ones I have mounted up high a little above the frame on the back of the cab so they can be seen more easily. Not that anyone other than me actually checks them. They always prime and...
