well the parts to fix the stripped flywheel coupler and shaft i think were around 400 time you get oil and filters and other random parts i'd say 700-800 total in parts it probably took me two days to take it out and two to put it back in with some help now i could probably get it out in 12...
its back together and works just fine it doesn't seem quite as smooth taking off might be due to the differences in the hst but nothing i can't live with glad its done
well i got the engine and transmission out flywheel coupler and transmission input both stripped hope i can remember how it all goes back together real pita
removed hst the input shaft has something going on either stripped flywheel adapter or input shaft my salvage hst came with a gear case i think i'm just going to swap it in and buy a new flywheel adapter how bad of a job will transmission removal be wsm talks about removing the engine as well i...
i went out and started it when looking in the transmission with a inspection camera its real hard to see but i don't think the input shaft is turning i'm gonna put just a little oil in it and see if i can tell if its turning tomorrow night
one thing i wondered about the oil in the suction tube if it gets its oil from the ports on the side of the tank it has to go up before it can get into the tube so if it was empty it couldn't siphon oil into the tube cause if i remember right it drained oil out of it when i removed the hst
i took it out when i drained the tank blew it out with air to get the steel off must have a magnet in it according to the picture doesn't that go to the hydraulic pump? its really hard to keep track of where all these lines go at least it is for me i went in today and priced that suction hose...
i removed the suction line from the charge pump i could blow air through it in was by myself some it was hard to tell how good it was going through but seems normal very little oil come out of this line when i removed it so i guess i'm thinking it has to be the flywheel coupler or the shaft it...
it makes this noise in neutral as well but just when you give it some throttle which is the same way it acts in gear .heres what i did i was unbolt the complete hst as a unit and replace it i left its charge pump place when you do that you have the two splined shafts to mate up to i left the...
yes i installed the salvaged hst .i think there is one on the engine flywheel then there is one on the input shaft between the hst and rear end it got replaced when i put on the new hst i'm thinking i'm gonna use a milwaukee inpesction camera and look in the rubber plug on the top of bellhousing...
