Tommy, good to see you on the forum. I still love my RTV racks you made.

As for the log splitter. I had a 20 ton that finally gave up and purchased a new one from the local farm supply place called Charlies. Can't remember the brand. My old one had a stationary wedge and the ram had a flat...
I run it all the time in my Kubota 3710, ZD21, and RTV. At least in my neighborhood off road (ag diesel) is the same stuff with red coloring added. It is cheaper since you don't pay road tax. In Missouri that's about 40 cents less a gallon. It is used in construction and agriculture engines. In...
I just used a visegrips on the tank side of the filter to clamp off the hose (put some thick cardboard over the hose first so the hose was not damaged by the visegrip jaws). Then replaced the filter and cranked it up.

I think Rich hit it on the nose. If the adjustments don't work out on the valve I would not hesitate to get the coast valve. I never heard of the 7 second thing. If it doesn't want to come out of gear I pull the dump and move on. But that is pretty rare especially since the coast valve was...
I use mine for plowing snow and everything else on my little 30 acre plot. I have the Curtis plow and it is by far the weakest link. I would suggest moving to something with a bit more testosterone. I live in Missouri so a couple degrees below zero is as bad as it gets and the RTV is always in...

Would love to see the pics. Another mod I need to make. I still need to post pics of my giant shoes. Was going to wait till I actually move some snow so I can say if the mod was a success. Unfortunatly, the snowfall in Missouri can be a lot or nothing. So far this year...
Also, robuta, thanks for all of the research and for sharing it with us. I will try to build anything but I am not very good with hydraulics and was worried about finding the right stuff to do this. You made it so easy and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your willingness to share and help...
I installed the hydraulic upgrade last night. I found that my estimate on hose length from the rear to the front was perfect. If anyone is thinking of doing this a 12 ft hose works great. I also over-ordered the 9-69-01-6-4 sae 6m x 1/4 nptf 90 swivel connectors. I was thinking I could use them...
Supposed to get the parts tomorrow. An early Christmas present to myself. I think I'm also as excited as the year I picked up the RTV a few days before Christmas. One last questions for my hydraulic brothers. Teflon tape or some other magic goo on the threads when putting together this stuff?

I'm not sure how you found surplus center but I really like them. I contacted them to see if any of the quick couplers they sell would work with the snaptite S10. They said the S10 series couplers (item number 9-1626) cross to the snaptite series. I pasted a link below showing the cross...
Thanks for the info - that helps a bunch! I'm trying to take this in baby steps as my wife keeps saying... "you are too lazy to get out of the cab to turn the blade?" I added some large - shoes from a full size plow last weekend. Had to do some welding but was able to move them back and get them...
I am trying to finish up my order for hydraulic parts and have 1 last question... Anyone know what type of quick coupler is used on the RTV? Specifically the rear dump bed hoses. Lots of options on the web site at:
...
