Make sure your checking the loader frame bolts for proper torque. Loose bolts especially with larger stresses from that bucket can lead to cracks in your block.
The only thing I recall of the older RTV 900s was it being difficult to shift gears. Some complained of having to turn the machine off in order to relieve pressure on the tranny to do this. Give it a check.
Your Woods, shear mass wise, appears to be somewhere inbetween the Squealer series and the 280 series from BushHog. If you step up to the Bushhog 285 you get the 10 guage deck but you also get a 110Hp rated gearbox which is a bit of a step up from your Woods. If your not going to be consistently...
