JD 5055e rear brake on one side locking up.

Have a John Deere 5055e that the left side rear wheel is locking up. Seems like the brake is dragging. Left side brake peddle is pressed down lower than the right. It can not be lifted up to match the right side brake peddle. Has a hydraulic brake system. Tractor is around 13 years old roughly.

Left brake is the Problem? Right brake works as (you think) it should? Starting point would be to crack the bleeder vent on top of the left final drive housing. Does fluid escape under any sort of pressure spurt? If so, tighten it back down and try moving the tractor again and checking for brake drag. Did that change anything? If no, the next thing I would try is to loosen the connection between lines #2 and #9 a turn or two and see what that changes.

That’s kind of what I did. Found the problem. There was a set screw under the dashboard that backed out. The left brake peddle was stuck underneath the set screw. Thus engaging the brake on the left side.
