electric ATV?

Hello,
I am just starting to research information dealing with an ATV with electrical power. I note most of these use gas engines and I wish to scout a large area, but the quieter the better. I would like to learn about the limitations of range and recharging and would appreciate any and all help.

Thank you

WW

Have you found even one ATV brand that is all electric? I have not heard of one.
There were some Chinese made ones back a few years ago, But they were designed to ride around in circles in your CUL-DE-SAC or your postage stamp sized back yard. You wouldn't want to get very far from home on them. You would end up pushing them back home. CAN-AM has a couple of electric ones with CAN AM labels stuck on them. Don't know if CAN AM designed them, built them or if they just stuck their badge on them. In strict, thermally controlled and elevation controlled laboratory testing, they squeezed 50 miles out of one once, according to them.

Tuatara. Expensive to the point of like buying a new car or truck. All electric. Very little plastic--unlike the Kubota RTV. Brother has one and really likes it. I have ridden in it, but have not driven it. What little I have seen of it, it seems to be very well built, and it is quiet. Has good range -- 30 miles -- way more than enough for his (or my) needs. He also has a RTV-1140.

Website has more details than I can remember.
