    A couple questions

I would go with normal ags instead of industrial. Like was said, traction is slim with industrial ags. Our payloader has ind. ags on it, and off the concrete as soon as they slip just a tad (which is easy), it's nothing but slip.

How many hours do you average?

I put the 2745 as discbine & hay rolling duties....should have been the MF2705. You guys would rack the hours up too if your living was made with them.

    Sheared some bolts

Can't be positive, but almost willing to bet you could take the gearbox apart & swap ends the shaft comes out of. Then you'd be on new unused case holes. Most gearboxes similar to this are made to switch around for different applications.

How many hours do you average?

Never really kept up, but we have several tractors on our dairy. None are newer than 1980, and all the real "working" tractors are Massey's. Just the one MF2745 gets about 120hrs a year just chopping silage, plus both 2745's get at least 40hrs/year each hauling manure from the pit. Then the...

Need Parts for your Blue Tractor?

Well, if you've ever been divorced...then you was wrong at least once! I like having a website to look part #'s up on, then either call or order online. Having the #'s ahead of time sure speeds things up.

    Busy Busy...Corn Silage Time

One 150'x30'x10+' tall pit is filled, and started today on the other identical size pit. Silage like we've never had before....putting out the tonnage! Going to have much more grain when shelling time comes than we've ever had. Likely 40% more than we need for feeding our herd. Usually we have...

    40 series antifreeze in oil

If it has the intercooler, then might be the prob. Also, if it has "wet" sleeves, then the o-ring at base of a sleeve could be leaking.

Lightning struck close to our house

That big hit I took came in through the ground. Old steel water pipes brought it into the laundry room, then up the ground wires into the telephone & video cables. I assume all the electrical chargers & such came through the ground also. So grounding doesn't always help, in fact, this time it...

Lightning struck close to our house

Lightning got my cable box a month or so ago. Got nothing else this time. About 7 years ago, lightning struck a hickory tree next to the house. I was in my shop nearby when I saw it get struck. I was about 75' away & it blew hickory nuts inside the shop at me like bullets! Went to see that...

Hay equipment question and my story.

My Wife's Uncle uses a New Holland accumulator & a grappler and loves it. He sells a few thousand bales a year of alfalfa to the horse folks around Lexington, Ky. Yep, if selling quality hay, square is the way to go.

    Raccoons

Got a whopper raccoon last night. There were 2, but at opposite ends of feeder, so other took off when the one bit the dust. I have more shells waiting for the survivors!

    Raccoons

Yep, got them thick here too, but harder to catch them out. Only killed 3 this year. I need to set steel traps. Then leave them till next year! Have a family of skunks in holes under our manure push off ramp to the manure pit. I can smell em almost every time I put the cows in the...
