I had an ll40 and found someone selling a roof off their rtv 900. i put that on my 1140. It worked for me. I had the 2nd seat folded down most of time anyway. The roof covered the front seat and a little of the back but not much. Served it's purpose for me. Here is one from Messicks...

I am not suggesting yo get rid of ypur tractor. A tractor and an excavator make a great team. Some are having great luck with small Chinese excavators. They are cheap. 7 or 8k.

That's a tough one. Hard to match up that stuff ones it gets a few years old and the dealer no longer sells the set up. That was my case with my 2002 Kubota. You won't want to hear this but my advice for clearing 15 acres and digging out tree stumps is an excavator. Rent or buy used...

How did you verify it was not the head gasket?

If the fluid and pressure valve are right then this issue does not sound simple. Being that new I would hope for quicker turn around with your dealer. Do not take it in until the day before they can work on it. And hope a part to fix it does not need to be ordered from overseas.

When did they start adding it to tractors and excavators etc.? Why did they start adding it? At this point I'd avoid buying new due to DPF issues. What about you?

That DPF crap is a nightmare. Sorry for the troubles. I searched the internet to try to find an bit of help for you but all I found was others with the same issue. You are not alone, but I doubt that makes you feel any better. Hopefully you can find a closer certified mechanic even though...

Miserable hot here today. 95 or a bit more. Seems to take your breath away. With all the heat my grass is 4 acres of mostly brown. I haven't mowed in 5 or 6 weeks. Maybe more, I've lost count. ETF is that normal for you? Does your grass quit growing when the heat gets way up there?
