    RTV 900 problem

Is it just water? or is antifreeze mixed with it?? When is was last driven was it running OK ? The only thing I can come up with is a blown head gasket - hence the question about antifreeze. If no antifreeze then it less likely it is a head gasket. Perhaps there is a pin hole leak in a water...

    Strange Issue

Well, leaking after spending time in an heated barn overnight in Ontario would make sense. Contraction of the metal would (could) allow for slight leakage. In the summer, between use and normal summer environment, the metal never contracts enough to allow for leaking. if it is leaking at a...

2015 RTV 1000c broke the fan belt. How hard to replace?

I haven’t had to replace mine ye, but I did have to re-tension it. Pretty good access behind the driver seat. I think you will have to loosen the alternator to replace the belt and that is where your access is. Tight but doable.

    Strange Issue

Interesting about your winter coolant leak. My X900 had a leak from day one and after some frustration I determined it to be a defective clamp. It seemed tight, but the leak continued so I replaced the clamp a the leak stopped.

RATS .. How to repel them from your engine compartment

I have used - with good results - capsaicin spray. I had mice chew through the window washer lines of my autos. They love nesting in the hood liners where there is insulation to build nests. I purchased it from...

2017 Kubota RTV-X900 a lot of white smoke out the exhaust and loud knocking

Could be that your glow plugs are heating up enough and you have unburned fuel. It will knock in this case. Does the white smoke and knocking disappear after running a while?

2018 Kubota RTV-X1140 HST Failure and Rebuild with Pics

It is my understanding that the transmission (gear box) is lubricated with its own SUDT2 and the HST is lubricated via the hydraulic fluid (also SUDT2) in the reservoir under the passenger seat. It is the same fluid that is used in the power steering and hydraulic lift of the dump bed. This...

    K connect snowblower

Wow! Something for sure is not set up correctly. When the dealer told me the snowblowers were "problematic" I don't think we thought they were that bad!

    K connect snowblower

Glad to hear the K Connect has worked well for you. I was ready to spend the money - I have over a mile of dirt road to keep clear - but the negative comment from the dealer quickly made me re-think it.

    K connect snowblower

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Gravel driveway? If the snow is more than 6-8 inches I would say that blowing the storm is better than waiting until it is over if there is a lot of snow - especially if it is spring wet snow. I looked into the K-Connect system when I purchased my newer RTV...

    Buzzer for emergency brake.

I am wondering if one can tap into the emergency brake idiot light that is there and have it power the alarm? I‘ll investigate when I get a chance.

    Electrical Updates

I have not -yet anyway - had trouble with cold weather starts here in central New Hampshire. I do have it in a heated shop much of the time to melt out between storms, but I had it in my yard recently when the nighttime temp was -12 F and it started quite easily after using the glow plugs for...

    Electrical Updates

After about 12 hours of use the unit I installed quick working. I investigated and found out that the unit itself was bad. I installed the other one that came in the package of 2 and all is OK now. I contacted the company to let them know and within 12 hours they replied and will be replacing...

    X1100C Hand Throttle

There are two types of hand throttles available on the X1100C - 1) the one that is standard on all machines and 2) the one you can add on that is more robust. According to the users manual and the dealers, the one that is standard is to be used for warming up the machine in cold weather. It...

    Questions from the new guy

One thing to keep in mind is that Kubota introduced the X-series in about 2014. There is the Kubota RTV-900 prior to 2014 and then the RTV -X900. They are slightly different in many ways. The 1100 series are the full cab model and the same thing there with the introduction of the X-1100.

    Intermittent wiper for X1100C?

Very glad you Very glad you got it working. I surely don't understand why ours are different - mine works really well - ran it for almost 6 hours straight in our last snow event. I have an extra knob I will send to you if you wish. I had to purchase a 2 pack so I have the extra.
