On the newer ones the pressure relief is built into the brake pedal. I think the one you have they came up with a bridge solution before they redesigned the transmission.

    Rtv 900 x transmission problem

They are not the same. I crossed a 900 pump with a x900 pump and they are different. The pistons on the assembly block are lapped into the block, meaning you can not change the pistons around inside the assembly. Even if they were the same I would shy away from that. These hydro units are...

    Rtv 900 x transmission problem

On my X1100 the pump in the hydro unit exploded and damaged the case. Kubota does not sell the case and I could not find one from a salvage operation. One guy told me that is the main reason for these units(x UTV's) to be scrapped. I purchased a new unit from my kubota dealer. I paid $6k for...

2017 Kubota RTV-X900 a lot of white smoke out the exhaust and loud knocking

white smoke = water = either cracked head, head gasket or cracked block. Kubota engines are very robust except they don't do overheating very well. Once your engine overheats you can expect to replace the head. Fortunately aftermarket heads are inexpensive and plentiful. The Kubota heads are...

    RTV 900 diesel

You should get some where close to 25mph, and yes it will be loud at that speed. Does it have a speedometer, or have you verified the speed with a gps/phone app? Also it would be helpful to know the year and how many hours are on the machine.
