    RTV900 Alternator Upgrade

I got mine for $2500 so I hear you on the price. I also plowed for many years with open cab equipment and agree this is way better, LOL. Dave

    RTV900 Alternator Upgrade

I have the snowdogg on my x900 and haven't had any battery issues. Like stated above I let mine run for a little while after doing lots of plow maneuvering. On an unrelated note... Keep an eye on the plow's center pivot area due to slop. I started having an issue with the two center cutting...

New Install of Boss UTV Power V-XT

That's exactly who I called this morning and Connor the sales guy laughed in disbelief when I told him that I heard somebody just got a Boss installed for around $3600. If I was going to pay $8k for a plow it would be going on my comfy 3500 Denali not my RTV, LOL.

New Install of Boss UTV Power V-XT

Which dealer did you get it from? I'm getting on "the list" at a few dealers in hopes that it gives me a better chance of getting one sooner than later. I just called MB in Tilton and he was pushing the Kubota v plow for $8000 but I would prefer the Boss V model and wondering where you went. Dave

    X900 steering controller

I asked the service guy at the dealer the other day how to get the one out of the x900 and he laughed and said "it sucks". Dave

    X900 steering controller

I assumed it was like the x900 and the unit was right there and the top was visible with steering wheel off. I'm OK with being wrong once in a while. Dave

    X900 steering controller

You can see the shaft seal if you take the steering wheel off, FYI. Dave

First Snow Plowing Experience With X900

Someone had posted a link a while ago for a service manual but the link doesn't work anymore, so here's a copy of it for you to grab off my Google drive. It's got the unloader adjustment procedure. I actually just replaced the cable on mine because it broke. Takes about 5 minutes to adjust...

    X900 steering controller

I discovered that the seal isn't leaking, it's one of the hoses or fittings but it's going to have to wait until spring. Apparently the whole dash assembly needs to be removed to get at it and also my windshield assembly. I slapped everything back together so I can get ready to use it to plow...

    X900 steering controller

A little update... Used my Google Fu and found out the unit is a Danfoss controller similar to what's used in boats for hydraulic steering. I found a local hydraulic repair shop and he told me to bring it in and he'll replace the seal. Now the task of ripping it out begins.

    X900 steering controller

Yeah, I've checked to make sure it's not a fitting or hose. It originally started leaking after I started the machine up last winter when it was -14f out and has gotten progressively worse since. I guess this is it's way of letting me know it was angry about the cold. Dave

X Series Plastic Bed Side Panel Removal

I know the X900 sides have a plastic push type rivet on the bottom and you just pry them out and the panel just comes out bottom first at top it hooked on a channel.
