My new hotness: ITP Blackwater Evolutions

I made it out of 2" angle (maybe 2 1/2") and a piece of hitch material I had laying around. I like the contrasting orange color. Thanks,

My new hotness: ITP Blackwater Evolutions

Thanks! I got really tired of no real storage in the RTV, so the bed box was one of the first mods I did to it. It's real handy! Another pic:

My new hotness: ITP Blackwater Evolutions

I'll get some tomorrow. I got surprised by the deliver, didn't know that the tires were delivered the day before, so took a couple pics, then lifted it and took the old ones off and away I went. It's definitely a couple inches taller to get into it. The ride is also much firmer than before...

My new hotness: ITP Blackwater Evolutions

Based on several threads here on NTT, including but not limited to ovrzd latest thread, here are the before and after pics for my RTV. 25-10-12 Carlyle 589s vs. 26-11-12 ITP Blackwater Evolutions: Before: After: Not the best before/after shots but all I got before I had to go get them...

    Hand Throttle Install RTV900

ovrszd, did you buy a kit or a bunch of parts? Messick's is showing p/n #V5241 for my 2006 RTV-X900W. The list of parts goes over $157. Guess I should call Messick's. Thanks,

New Rear U Joints Needed-- Again

Count on it. Like I said: never again.

New Rear U Joints Needed-- Again

More importantly: cut the rear axle into at least two different parts, weld flanges to tie the two parts together. Never again.

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

Well, I would have made my front range flat if I could, but I have a heck of a time convincing the targets to move where I want them. I have no idea why coyotes don't like being shot at. It's a mystery, I tell ya!

    tires for Christmas

No, we didn't get into the width issue. My plan was to discuss it with Robin et al at ATO if and when I call. Plus, the STI Roctanes are only 11", so only a one inch difference. I have seen or heard on other boards that other people are putting 26x12" wide tires on the rear without any other...

    tires for Christmas

Well that didn't go the way I expected...... He didn't recognize the GBC name since his distributor doesn't carry them. He looked up the tire sizes I wanted and there was not much available from his distributor, most of them were Carlisles - do not want, and I told him why. Then he asked why...

    tires for Christmas

Good point but I misspoke earlier: there are other tires sizes listed for the Worksite including 25x11-12 (rear only). The regular RTV 900XT General Purpose lists tires sized up to 25x12-12 Turf tires, front and rear. So I think I'm OK on the x12 width. But I do plan to ask at the tire...

    tires for Christmas

I'm looking mainly for the 8 ply rating i.e. hopefully the toughest tire out there. I have Carlisle AT489s right now and I think they are only 3 ply. They are shot, age checked and I have one that has about half the tread gone. With the 8 ply, I *should* get a better load rating as well. As...

    tires for Christmas

Rather than start a new thread: I now need new tires for my RTV. One has some wear on the tread and another has multiple thorn and rock holes kept together with copious amounts of tire slime. All are seriously age-checked. Would the GBC Grim Reaper 26x12x12 fit on my RTV 900? The specs call...

New Rear U Joints Needed-- Again

I bought it from a tractor dealer about 40 miles north of me. He got it via an estate sale and didn't have much info to go with it. It's obvious whoever "fixed" it last didn't care if it lasted or not. It's a 2006, almost 10 years old, I bought it with my eyes open.

Yea, I bought a new one from Messick's.

New Rear U Joints Needed-- Again

They knew all about me just from my phone number. Jeez! I thought the NSA was tracking me there for while! Pretty weird when you call up some stranger and they trot out your name and address like they've known you all their life!

New Rear U Joints Needed-- Again

Bought a new axle direct from Messick's. Called Friday PM, had the axle Tuesday by noon or so. Wasn't the cheapest but I wanted the part to arrive when they said it would - and it did. I wish I could remember the name of the guy that I ordered through, he was as good as his word on when it...

New Rear U Joints Needed-- Again

First off, I want the head of the engineer who designed that Massive Cluster Fork known as the RTV rear axle housing!!!! The only possible way he could have made it harder to reassemble that POS is to make it so the wheels can't be removed!!!!! You have to have everything lined up perfectly...
