To Buy or Not To Buy

I've got a RTV 500 and it's a decent machine, I will say if I was to buy another machine I would likely buy more of a sport machine so I would have more suspension travel and speed. The 500 is a workhorse....it's a snow plowing animal and runs great. The suspension is where it's lacking, if...

    Good Bye my '05 Friend

50 hrs in just over a month  That's more than I put on my 500 in a year and a half. Sounds like you really get some use out of your buggy.

    Two New Things

Great looking buggy. I haven't seen one of the plastic bed liners for one, make sure you pop it out every once in awhile and touch up the paint underneath because if they are like on a pickup they'll wear through your paint and start rusting underneath. Man you really showed the state on...

    New front fender wells

Best thing going for keeping the undersides from rusting is Fluid Film....last year when I bought my new Super Duty pickup that was the first thing I did....got under it and sprayed inside all the body panels, under the truck, the frame....anywhere else I could spray with Fluid Film got it...

    2010 Rtv front drive shaft

I'm not sure how dynamat would work under the bed to quiet the engine. My 500 is pretty quiet but I had thought of using the spray in bedliner material under my bed and at the wall behind the seat to quiet it down even more.

    RTV 500 Wiring Diagram

To add the front and rear lighting you will need to locate the red/yellow 18 ga. wires...they are hooked to worklight relay. The supply wires going into the relay are purple/black (18 ga) and red/green (20 ga)....the wires hooked to the lights are the red/yellow (18 ga) coming from the relay...

    3 Pt hitch for RTV

I could see use for it, it would be great for a small rear blade or something along those lines. Nothing I'd want but neat just the same.

    GBC Grim Reaper

I was just wondering if they ran true to size, sounds like they do. :thumb:

    GBC Grim Reaper

Did you order 25" or 26" tires?

    GBC Grim Reaper

Let us know how they work for you. Also when you get them do you mind measuring the diameter to see how true to size they are. I was very interested in GBC Gators but was worried they ran true to size and wouldn't fit well.

    Squeak be gone

I finally got around to fixing my squeaking steering wheel on the RTV 500...I popped the steering wheel nut cover, took the nut off with my fingers...it wasn't even snug:bonk: and then I pulled it right out. After the wheel was off I pulled the rubber bushing and sprayed the inside and...

    Time for New Cooling Fan

Is there any way you could mount an automotive electric fan in there? You could likely get one local if you have any Autozone, Napa, Pep Boys or Advance Auto type place there. Something like this one

Help zeroing in on the right RTV for me

You're requirement of a hydraulic dump bed rules out the 500. You could add an aftermarket electric bed lift kit but hydraulic isn't an option. That being said I purchased the RTV 500 for a few reasons 1) Gas engine that is extremely quiet 2) Fuel Injected for quick easy starts 3) Narrower...

    What year RTV?

Not too surprising really....I don't know what the average is but I've seen alot of them with less than that. I haven't put an hour a week average on my 500 yet and I bought it new so the hour meter hasn't been changed. It's there when I need it and sits when I don't.
