    Harbor freight jack

I have several Harbor Freight Hydraulic jacks. Will they last for years and years with constant daily use? Probably not. But, for a DIY'r who will use it a few times a year and the jack is properly taken care of and not overloaded or abused, it should last 20 or 30 years, maybe more. On...

Factory style connectors for X1100C work light harness

I've done that before, also. The hunt for the elusive part turns into a challenge to say "screw you" to the engineer who originally spec'ed the parts on the build BOM (bill of material). I would eventually find the OEM part manufacturer, usually in Europe or an Asian country, order the parts...

Factory style connectors for X1100C work light harness

After many decades of being in electrical/electronic engineering/field service, I quit chasing proprietary connectors. If I can't easily find a replacement connector, I just lop both ends off, grab my trusty Newark catalog and buy a male/female connector assembly I can easily source and wire...

    electric ATV?

There were some Chinese made ones back a few years ago, But they were designed to ride around in circles in your CUL-DE-SAC or your postage stamp sized back yard. You wouldn't want to get very far from home on them. You would end up pushing them back home. CAN-AM has a couple of electric ones...

Check to see if the block is a Perkins diesel block. I know some of them had the Perkins diesel block with gasoline heads and crank.

    2018 850 sidekick help...please!!

Pull your spark plugs. Look at them and tell us what color they are. If your exhaust is glowing, you are running very lean and your plugs will look whitish. You can get away with running the engine too rich for quite a long time. You won't run an engine very long with the fuel mixture lean.

    Poor mans cab

When it is -20 out, 2 feet of dry, blowing snow and the wind is howling about your Kubota, looks are the last thing you will be thinking about. At that moment, I would take a door made out of kotex pads stapled to a piece of half rotted cardboard (preferably clean kotex, I do have my minimum...

    Power steering 825i

That is quite common with JD electric steering. I have a 2012 JD855D and it has been in the shop so many times since I bought it new for electric steering issues. They wanted to replace the whole steering and charge me almost $3k, because they can't figure out why it randomly goes out, the...

    Codes on dash

First, you must repair or replace what ever sensor made the code throw to begin with. After repair, access diagnostic mode by holding the "MENU" button for five seconds until "CODES" appears. Use the "SELECT" button to enter the diagnostic codes menu and scroll until "END" is displayed. Then...

    PLOW CONTROLLER PROBLEM 2015 RTVX1100C V5290 PLOW

You could always retrofit your existing controller with an aftermarket controller. It wouldn't be "plug-n-play", but with an ohm meter, a pad of paper and a pencil, you could ring out which pairs of wires do what, find a aftermarket controller with the same amount of buttons, cut the plug off...
